CUMMINGS: THIS WILL BE SOME TURNAROUND

Conrad Cummings is ready to banish the ghosts of his defeat to Luke Keeler by reclaiming the WBO European title in Belfast tonight.

‘Mr Dynamite’ was outpointed by Keeler at the city’s SSE Arena in the summer but can regain the crown against unbeaten Hungarian Ferenc Berki at Titanic Exhibition Centre – live on iFL TV.

Cummings said: “I’ve prepared very well and I’m focused. I’m just going to do the best I can do.

“Berki is ambitious and he doesn’t know losing. He’s coming to win. He’s coming to beat me but I’ve prepared extremely well and I’m looking forward to performing, getting my belt back and setting up a big 2019 after a happy Christmas!

“I know very little about Berki, which makes you nervous but that’s a good thing. He’s young and undefeated. He’s the Hungarian champion so he deserves my attention.

“I’ve had some bad luck in my career but I feel I’ve got the rub of the green to be fighting at home for the WBO European title. It’s going to mean a lot to me. I’ve turned this year round again after taking my eye off the ball against Luke Keeler.

“I’d like to thank my team MTK Global for backing me. I’m just looking forward to lifting that belt on Friday and having a great Christmas. What a turnaround in the year this is going to be.”

Cummings vs. Berki tops a stacked card in Belfast also starring Gary Cully vs. Mohammed Kambuluta, Sean McComb vs. Zoltan Szabo, Paddy Gallagher, Phil Sutcliffe Jr, Padraig McCrory and Steve Collins Jr.
