Gearoid Clancy, Mateo Tapia, Michael Pengue & Danny Keating have been added to the MTK Global roster.
Building on its partnership with Bondi Boxing Club, MTK Global through its MTK Sydney division is delighted to be working alongside 4 of Australia’s top boxing prospects Gearoid Clancy, Mateo Tapia, Michael Pengue and Danny Keating in an advisory deal.
The said management deal will significantly boost the professional career of the newly signed boxers and secure their world rankings under the mentorship of Tony del Vecchio, the boxing manager and coach of Bondi Boxing Club.
Gearoid Clancy (8-5, 2KOs) who is a former New South Wales State Title Champion and IBO Regional contender looks forward to consistent, top quality and well-matched fights.
“With limited managers and management teams here in Australia and the surrounding region at the moment, it is high time that we get the support we deserve that’s why I am very happy signing for MTK Global,” says Gearoid.
Young Mexican prospect Mateo Tapia (6-0, 3KOs) with 66 amateur fights and 58 wins believes that growing as a fighter with the help of MTK Global will lead him all the way to a world title.
“I’m very excited because I see how massive the company is and the kind of support we will be getting from MTK Global would influence any future negotiations both domestically and internationally,” commented Tapia.
23-year old Michael Pengue with a record of 11 amateur fights and 1 professional bout says he can’t think of a better way to start his professional journey than signing with MTK Global.
“I am confident that the support will be huge given that they are the best in the business signing the biggest names in boxing. I look forward to more shows at home and internationally to keep my career going,” says Michael.
2-time National Champion & European Bronze medalist Danny Keating sees this new signing as an opportunity to fight on shows regularly to grow his record on the way to a world title.
“I have just started my professional boxing career and I want to be the best that I can be. Joining MTK Global makes perfect sense for me,” commented Danny.
Boxing Manager Tony Del Vecchio welcomes the addition of his boxers to the MTK Global stable:
“I am very happy with how things are going for Gearoid, Mateo, Michael and Danny. I have seen them grow and develop as boxers - equally brilliant lads trying to establish a niche in their respective divisions. With MTK Global advising them, I am very sure they will be in good hands and I can only wish nothing but the best for these fighters.” “These boxers prove that Australia has a lot of potential fighters waiting to be discovered. We are excited to share our expertise in giving them the professional help and guidance they need in their careers. This is only the beginning of more signings to come in the land down under,” says Paul Gibson, MTK Global Head of International Operations.
