08 Nov Declan Geraghty out of all Ireland clash Nov 18th
Super Featherweight star Declan Geraghty unfortunately had to pull out of his IBF title clash with Jono Carroll on November 18th in Belfast.
Declan has incurred a hand injury during his training camp and has been advised by a specialist to withdraw from the fight.
“To say that I’m sick is an understatement. I’ve been waiting for this fight for a very long time. It’s a highly anticipated rematch on the Frampton Reborn bill and in all of Ireland. I hope it will happen next year and I believe I’m going to win it in style,” says Dubliner Declan.
“It is a pity that Declan has had to pull it as it was a fight everyone was looking forward to. Declan is gutted to miss out on such a big fight on what is a special night for Irish boxing but he will be back. We hope to have a quality opponent confirmed for Jono Carroll in the next day or 2,” commented MTK Global.
Frank Warren’s Frampton Reborn event will take place on 18th November 2017 at the SSE Arena, Belfast, airing live on BoxNation TV.
